The Sun Always Shines!

If it’s not night, the sun always shines. Whatever is happening weather wise – whether it’s cloudy, dreary and rainy, whether it’s stormy, windy and cold, whether it’s snowing, blowing and howling – the sun is shining behind the clouds!

After a very dreary, gloomy, drizzly, grey, cloudy, foggy, perpetually hazy fall, I have felt the fatigue, the weight of the darkness. Some of it has been physical, some of it mental and some of it spiritual.

…had kind of an epiphany [I know, a very big word for what’s coming] a couple of days ago. This blog is called javainthemorning, yet I had ONE, Uno, Yksi, Eins, Ett, Ichi, 1 post about coffee! How did that happen? 😉

The Story of the Pukies!

It’s that time a year, [stomach] flu season. It happens every year, around the world, in many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many… ok, you get the drift… in many homes. Now this family, get’s colds, coughs, runny noses, headaches, regular stuff, but the stomach flu usually passes us. And when it has come, usually only one or two people have gotten sick.

If you read my Happy [lonely] New Year! post, you might remember that my nephew, my little brothers son, ended up with chicken pox on Christmas day.

I really had not thought about chicken pox much until then. Chicken pox is not fun, I know that from experience because I had one of the “worse cases” [quoting my pediatrician] when I was  three and half years old.

Diamonds are forever… or not! ::repost::

My engagement ring is a channel set white gold ring with seven 10 point diamonds. It’s simple,  nothing overly fancy, but precious to me. The diamonds are big enough to sparkle beautifully in the sun. Since we got engaged in college with a very limited budget, they are definitely not flawless diamonds.
